ABOUT

Dear Colleagues,

Welcome to HCC-LIVE! Our intent is for HCC-LIVE to be the premiere North American liver cancer meeting for years to come. In order to do so, the meeting will be lively and offer a unique venue to reflect the dynamic scientific environment and multidisciplinary efforts that are an absolute must in maintaining a high-quality liver cancer meeting.

The meeting itself will consist of a concise (1.5 days) yet information-rich program, with an opening reception on the prior evening. We will maintain limited on-site attendees to facilitate expert in-depth discussions, with an option for others to participate virtually. It will maintain core tenants that make the meeting attractive: debates, tumor boards, multidisciplinary discussion, highlights of top papers and new technologies, patient and advocacy stories, and opportunities to network. Most importantly, our call to arms will be anchored in multidisciplinary representation, with time dedicated to robust discussions. This is also reflected in our nationally and internationally renowned faculty who are members of our Scientific Advisory Board. We will present new data as they emerge and ensure that experts have the opportunity to contextualize them for the audience.

We will continue to target attendees at all levels of training and clinical experience. In addition to the Annual Year in Review, this meeting will also include a 20-minute invited lecture to be delivered in alternating year format as a Distinguished Lecture Series: for one year, we will invite a luminary in the field to highlight their career path; for the other year, we will invite a rising star in HCC to deliver an address on their research work.

We recognize our important partnerships with industry and academia. You have our commitment to maintaining the highest level of integrity as we design, adjust, and execute the mission of HCC-LIVE. We are confident that you will enjoy the new meeting and are excited about partnering with you for years to come.

Mark your calendars and save the dates February 8–10, 2024.

See you in Huntington Beach!

Sincerely,
